Founded in 2019 by Lauren Accordino, Cersei Ventures is an early stage venture investment fund investing in Seed to Series C rounds and backing exceptional founders in category defining sectors.  As Founder and General Partner of Cersei Ventures, Lauren leverages a career across investment banking, corporate strategy, and venture to advise and back early-stage companies. With sharp financial acumen and a deeply strategic lens, she partners with visionary founders and funders to build enduring value and scale.

About the founder

Lauren Accordino is the Founder and General Partner of Cersei Ventures, an Early Stage venture fund. With a career spanning investment banking, corporate strategy, early stage advisory and angel investing, Lauren brings a wealth of experience to sourcing, diligencing and investing in early stage companies.

Lauren began her career on the trading floor of Morgan Stanley's Institutional Equity Division in New York City. She later advised growth-stage companies on M&A and Private Placements in the digital media and technology sectors at Montgomery & Co. Her tenure at Jones Day involved leading business development in the Business Restructuring & Reorganization Group where she sourced distressed companies and created strategies across the capital structure to mitigate value loss. Most recently, she spearheaded Corporate Development and Strategic Operations at Carvana where she built strategic initiatives and implemented highly scalable products.

 

As an active angel investor, Lauren serves as an Executive Board Member at Tech Coast Angels Venture Group and holds the position of Fund Committee and Outreach & Partnership Co-Chair for the Los Angeles chapter. She is also a Faculty Advisor in the Executive MBA program at UCLA Anderson working with students in the Business Creation Program.

A graduate of Columbia University, Lauren earned her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and was a member of the varsity tennis team. She continues to contribute to her alma mater as a member of the Columbia College Alumni Association Board of Directors and co-chair of the Young Leaders Council.

 

Lauren lives in Manhattan Beach, California, with her husband and three children.
